First prize is US$250 and second prize is US$125.

The winner, second place and other commended entries will be published in Global Cement Magazine in the new year. Exceptional images are considered for the front cover of Global Cement Magazine and the Global Cement Directory. The deadline for entries is 30 November.

Terms of entry for the Global Cement Magazine Photography Competition

Each individual may enter up to five photographs for the competition. Send the following information:

-- Photographer's name, company and contact details (email, postal address);

For each photograph:

-- Location of the subject;

-- Any additional information that might be of interest about the subject of the photo.

Although we imagine that cement and lime plants will be popular, any cement- and lime-related subject - people, architecture, wildlife - is eligible for entry. Technical prowess and the attractiveness of the final image will used to decide upon the winner. Upright ('portrait') and  'landscape' format photos are equally valid.

Entry is simple and free: Please send your entry (digital only, JPG format) by email to rob@propubs.com. The subject line must be as follows: 'Global Cement Photo Competition' (otherwise it risks being junked by our spam filters!). Individual image files must be above 500kb but must be below 5Mb each in compressed size. Each entry is acknowledged by email.
